Over a month of hiking and walking long distances, every single day (withough stopping for a rest day - we're dinks) and... I feel great. I feel healthier than I have felt in years - and not just healthier, but stronger. I am rebuilding muscle that Anorexia Nervosa stripped from me, a couple of years ago. I am finally able to rebuild my frame, and it is empowering in more ways than I expected.
I am not just physically stronger, but mentally. I believe in myself more. I trust in my body. I am more confident in my ability.
A week or so ago, we scaled a sheer side of a hill, above a large cliff-top drop-off - and it was amazing. I was terrified of it, last time we did the hike - but it was amazing, this time around. Utterly amazing. I want to do it again.
We have seen and done so much in the last month. Seen endangered birds, coves of seals, active volcaones...
So many life-enriching, beautiful experiences.
